A hydraulic calcium aluminate cement with about 50–60% alumina, engineered as a binder for monolithic refractory castables — combining high-temperature service performance with rapid strength development and stable workability.
The CA-50 series of calcium aluminate cement products produced by Ambition Ceramics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ambition") are hydraulic binding agents with an alumina content of about 50–60%.
Because the CA phase (monocalcium aluminate) is the main mineral phase of the CA-50 series, these products offer not only excellent high-temperature service performance, but also reasonable and stable hydrating capacity, rapid strength development, and outstanding mechanical strength.
Based on the development of hydrated strength and the corresponding mechanical strength, Ambition classifies its CA-50 series into different grades, helping customers select the right product for their needs and service conditions. By optimizing product performance in production, the cement suits different monolithic refractory construction methods (e.g. casting and gunning) and meets the workability requirements of various castable formula systems — including traditional high-cement combined castables (CC) and medium-cement combined castables (MCC).
This series contains no additives, assuring the applicability and stability of the products.
This standard applies to the CA-50 series of calcium aluminate cement products, including the A500, A600, A700 and A900 grades produced by Ambition. GB 201-2000 is included in the tables below as a basic reference standard.

* Per GB 201-2000, results for marked items may be provided when the user has special requirements and there is agreement between seller and buyer; fineness is determined on the basis of specific surface area.
The following data are provided only for reference during use of the product:
* C = CaO, A = Al2O3, S = SiO2, T = TiO2
This series is packed in 25 kg bags — 50 bags per packing unit (25 kg × 50) — or supplied in big bags (jumbo bags). Other forms of packing and unit weights may be determined by seller and buyer through consultation.
During transportation and storage of calcium aluminate cement, special attention should be paid to preventing moisture, to extend shelf life and avoid affecting product performance.
During transportation, storage and use, measures should be taken to prevent the cement from contacting other types of cement (e.g. Portland cement) and harmful impurities (e.g. lime).
During use, the water used for mixing should be clean, to prevent product performance from being affected by harmful impurities that may be present.
